Apprentices Enjoy Unique On The Job Experience While Volunteering

Cuivre River State Park Archery Range – Troy, MO

 Visitors to Missouri’s popular Cuivre River State Park have access to a new archery range with five shooting lanes, sheltered targets, and an elevated shooting platform thanks to the USA’s union volunteers, including apprentices from Operating Engineers Local 513 and Plasterers’ and Cement Masons’ Local 527.
“Many of our union members are outdoorsmen, so a project like this allows them to do something for the community that they’re also passionate about. It benefits our  apprenticeship program because it teaches them that it’s important to be active in their communities while providing valuable on-the-job training.”
